In Tiny Tigers each individual child's needs are cared for in our free flow sections Kittens, Tiggers, Cubs and Tigers (Pre-School). Where growing up is fun!
Tiny Tigers has a full security camera system and access to a large beautiful garden.
Our baby room is exclusive for children under 18 months. Three professional members of staff are dedicated to caring for all your baby's needs whilst providing them with new and challenging opportunities for their developing minds and bodies. Staff communicate closely with parents ensuring that not only do you feel reassured leaving your baby, but also that we are constantly aware of any special needs or requirements you may have.
The Tiggers is our inbetweenie section, the perfect environment to prepare your child for the transition from baby room to Cubs (Toddler Section). It has been created especially to meet your child’s development needs from the moment they start to toddle to becoming confident walkers. The children have the opportunity to experience lots of sensory play and the outside space gives them the opportunity to learn through exploration.
Fun filled two to three year olds have an separate area overlooking the garden. Here the children are encouraged to learn through play, and their enquiring minds are stimulated by the fun approach to activities and games while learning colours, shapes, numbers and letters, in accordance with the Early Years Foundaion Stage (EYFS).
We help your child through toilet training, co-ordination and social skills; speech is promoted by our verbal education activities.
Our caring and enthusiastic staff help to build your child's confidence through role-play, sand and water experiences and creative educational activities in their own small groups.
Our qualified teacher gives our pre-school children aged 3 to 5 years a sound Early Years Foundation Curriculum, with activities in line with Ofsted requirements helping your child to have confidence for the transition to school.
Their development is advanced through both adult led and child initiated activities following the EYFS seven areas of learning which cover Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development, Communication and Language, Literacy, Maths, Understanding the World and Expressive arts and Design.
All snacks and meals are taken together with staff giving a homely atmosphere, encouraging social skills and good table manners. A balanced diet for breakfast, lunch and tea is provided everyday. In each specific case, dietary requirements are catered for.
Our large safe and enclosed garden holds natural beauty with rhododendrons, trees, a vegetable patch, herb garden, playhouse, sandpit (with cover) and other outdoor equipment. We also have a 'Mud Kitchen' giving the children even more opportunity to learn through explorative play.
For the older children outings are encouraged to support the themes being taught. The children are taken to places such as the library, fire station, Blue Bell Railway and other places of interest. We also invite the local community services to visit the nursery - such as the fire brigade and police force enhancing the children's understanding of the community we live in.
Tiny Tigers holds a fun filled 'Leavers Fun Day' in the summer where parents are invited to attend! There are many themed events throughout the year celebrating the different festivals and cultures. We broaden the children’s love of books with themed book weeks e.g. Julia Donaldson & Eric Carle.
Tiny Tigers actively participates in the local authority Travel Plan and would recommend both the TransportDirect and Traveline websites.
